Epicurus
"Death is nothing to us, since when we are, death has not come, and when death has come, we are not."
Epicurus believed that life was based on the now and living for the day and enjoying this life and what it has to offer instead of having a faith and expecting happiness in the afterlife.
Check out "The Ripper" by "The Used" many bands and artists use this philosophy of "live young die hard" in there music and lyrics.
awesome post. Epicurus isnt well known by mainstream society like he should be. if he was, people might be more at peace. anywho, ataraxia for the win man.
